HDS & Federal Bank Empower SHGs through Income Generation and Agriculture Loan Distribution
The Highrange Development Society (HDS), in collaboration with the Federal Bank, Karimban Branch, successfully distributed Income Generation and Agriculture Loans to Self Help Groups (SHGs) affiliated with HDS. This initiative aims to enhance the livelihoods of member families by promoting sustainable income through diverse economic activities.
In the first phase, financial assistance was extended to 161 members representing 29 SHGs. The official cheque distribution was conducted by Mr. Arnold Mathew, Manager, Federal Bank, who handed over the cheques to Msgr. Rev. Fr. Jose Karivelickal, President of HDS.
The program featured a keynote address by Dr. Sony Philip, Executive Director of HDS, a welcome address by Mr. Ebin Thomas, and a vote of thanks by Mrs. Kunjamma Thomas. The event was effectively coordinated by Mr. Bijo Mathew, Project Coordinator, and Ms. Jainy Shaji, Women Coordinator and Loan Assistance Coordinator, with the support of other dedicated HDS staff members.
