NAB- Jeevan Value Chain Millet Project
The NABJEEVAN project, a collaborative effort between the High Range Development Society (HDS) and NABARD, aims to revitalize millet cultivation in the tribal regions of Marayoor and Adimali panchayats in Kerala. Inspired by the "NAVAJEEVAN" scheme, this initiative focuses on enhancing food security, improving livelihoods, and reviving traditional agricultural practices within these communities. By establishing a sustainable and replicable model of millet cultivation that effectively manages natural resources, the project seeks to improve the quality of life for tribal families. Commencing in Thayannankudi, the project has successfully expanded its reach to cover 150 acres demonstrating its significant impact on the region's agricultural landscape.
