Safeguarding in Action: Fire Safety Training and Formation of the HDS Emergency Rescue Team

Highrange Development Society (HDS) continues to advance the implementation of its Safeguarding Policy, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all staff, Board of Directors, animators, volunteers, and stakeholders. As part of this ongoing commitment, Fire Safety Officials conducted a comprehensive fire safety demonstration and hands-on training session at the HDS Office on 28th October 2025. The session focused on essential emergency response procedures and culminated in the formation of the HDS Emergency Rescue Team—a dedicated group equipped to respond effectively in times of crisis. This initiative reflects HDS’s proactive approach to safety, preparedness, and operational excellence.

The creation of the Emergency Rescue Team marks a significant milestone in translating HDS’s Safeguarding Policy into tangible action. By equipping a core team with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle emergencies, HDS has strengthened its institutional capacity to protect both people and property. This initiative ensures that the society’s safeguarding principles are not merely policy statements but living practices, continuously reinforced through training, teamwork, and preparedness.
