Differently Abled People's Meet 2025: A Gathering for Empowerment and Progress
The Highrange Development Society (HDS) organized a significant gathering, the Differently Abled Peoples (DAPs) Meet 2025, at Bishop House Karimpan as part of Jubilee of Christ Birth of 2025 years celebration. The event saw the participation of 50 DAP members, along with dedicated volunteers and their families. Inaugurated by Idukki District Panchayath Member Mrs. Shiny Saji and presided over by Diocesan Educational Society Secretary Rev. Fr. George Thakidiyel, the meeting featured a keynote address by Mrs. Kunjamma Thomas, Girijyothi SHG Federation President.
The DAPs Meet served as a crucial platform for discussion and planning, led by Dr. Joseph Kochukunnel. Participants and their families engaged in conversations about current activities, their rights, and essential needs. Furthermore, the gathering facilitated the formation of a committee and the organization of future meetings. As a token of appreciation, gifts were presented to all the attendees, marking a positive and supportive step for the differently abled community in the region.
